Maritza Lord is a singer and musician. Originally from Georgetown, Guyana, she currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
In 2015, she began performing in the NYC underground in an effort to hone her craft and to share live music everyday. Today, you can still hear her voice echoing angelically through subway stations as she translates today’s pop songs into pianistic ballads or stops to play crowd favorites on her way to or from a performance.
In 2018, she began performing in rehab centers and nursing homes to much fanfare from residents of these facilities. Maritza's unique blend of uptempo dance numbers and classic heart-felt ballads is sure to touch every heart and liven every spirit in the room.
Her first single, "Coney Island" was released in the summer of 2019 with more than 20K streams on Spotify and with new music slated for release in 2020, Maritza's passion for sharing and creating music continues to grow.
